Retail architecture for Sainsbury's

New building design for one of the UK's most successful supermarket chains

The Sainsbury’s Supermarket in Calne completed by CHQ in 1998 incorporates traditional materials such as stone and slate in a modern contemporary way. The scheme has successfully fitted into the sensitive historical character of the town centre. The full height ‘planar’ glass shopfront communicates directly with an expansive public piazza, designed in conjunction with local artists.

Project value £6,000,000
